Our
History
Lupita’s is a second-generation-owned taqueria, which is widely credited with introducing Detroiters to the first traditional taqueria in the ‘90s. Instead of fried taco shells and ground beef, the offerings of this Southwest staple range from carne asada, tacos al pastor, to tacos de lengua.
From Scratch
Lupita’s menu features made-from-scratch recipes that have been passed down for generations.
All dishes are crafted from fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers and vendors. Enjoy a selection of daily made salsas aguas frescas and the well-known traditional tacos that are now called “street style tacos”. Enjoy your meal with a refreshing Jarritos or Mexican Coke!
